Big E suffers major injury on Smackdown
Former WWE Champion Big E was rushed to the hospital after taking a scary bump during the opening match of Smackdown last night. The episode kicked-off with tag team action pitting New Day members Big E and Kofi Kingston against Sheamus and Ridge Holland. Big E caught an unfortunate belly-to-belly suplex, outside of the ring, from Holland that dropped the former champ onto the back of his head and neck. He was tended to by medical professionals at ringside before being stretchered out of the arena. Big E updated the wrestling world this morning via Twitter that he had 'non-displacement fractures' to the C1 and C6 vertebrae but avoided damaging his spinal cord. He will not need surgery but there is no time table for his return at this time. We wish him a speedy recovery.
