Harley Race (1943 - 2019)
Eight time NWA World Champion and legendary tough guy Harley Race has passed. Race's mark on pro-wrestling extends well past the ropes as he excelled in every aspect of the business. Debuting in 1960 Harley spent 30+ years becoming one of the wrestling world's most feared competitors winning gold and imposing his will on the likes of the Giant Baba, Terry Funk, and Haku. He retired from in-ring competition
in 1993 but remained an integral part of the business serving as a manager, mentor, and trainer to young wrestlers and promoters. In 2019, it was announced that Race was diagnosed with lung cancer. He was 76.
