Honky Tonk Man joins Hall of Fame 2019
The all time longest-reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion, The Honky Tonk Man, is the latest addition to the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame class. He held the Intercontinental title for a record 64 weeks before losing the strap to the Ultimate Warrior at Summer Slam '88. Honky Tonk Man (Wayne Farris) began his wrestling career in 1977 and has shared the ring with many of pro-wrestling's legends spanning an incredible 40+ years. Honky Tonk joins fellow Memphis wrestling legend and real-life first cousin, Jerry 'The King" Lawler, with his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
