Nick Aldis recaptures NWA Heavyweight Championship

Nick Aldis has won back the NWA Heavyweight Championship from Cody Rhodes and it happened tonight at NWA's 70th Anniversary show in Nashville, TN. Rhodes has held the title for two months after winning big at the ALL IN indie mega show in Chicago. Aldis quickly invoked his rematch clause and the match was booked as a 2-out-of-3 falls match.

In the first fall, Cody tapped out to a cloverleaf but he evened it up soon after with a Cross Rhodes to the challenger. Aldis would eventually come out on top after reversing a pin attempt and getting

the 1-2-3.
